Photography resources for photographers
Photography education is a huge focus of mine and I love helping my fellow photographers become more successful, productive, and profitable. I have several areas that I specialize in and other resources that I either own or am an ambassador for.
The first of these resources is my photography conference called The Develop Retreat (formerly known as Photolush), which takes place each March and is focused on education with a focus on community over competition and cultivation of our incredible photography community via in-person learning with both lecture and workshop formats over a two day weekend.
The next resource is an incredible software company that I’m thrilled to be an ambassador for called AfterShoot. I don’t have enough words to express how incredible this software is at taking such a huge toll off of my shoulders in my workflow! AfterShoot is an artificial intelligence-based culling and editing software. On the culling side, Aftershoot does an amazing job at finding the best images from my galleries in a quick fashion so that we only need to quickly go through to double-check that the creative images that we still want to be included end up in our galleries, as the AfterShoot is looking for images that are sharp and with no motion blur, as well as having subjects eyes closed. As with myself and so many photographers, occasionally we actually want those images in our client’s galleries because we know the context that artificial intelligence software couldn’t possibly know about. On the editing side, Aftershoot learns from your already edited images in your Lightroom catalogs and then automatically edits your images to match your exact editing style. It’s been the biggest life saver for my business and allows me to spend more time with my kiddos while delivering higher quality images to my clients.
